Welcome to UAdewpoint.wordpress.com, the official blog for the University of Alabama’s undergraduate literary magazine, dewpoint. In the coming weeks, we’ll be updating the blog with submissions information, sneak peeks at the upcoming issue, and more, but for now, here’s some general information about the magazine.

dewpoint is run by the Phi Xi chapter of the Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society. We aim to publish the best creative prose, poetry and critical work from undergraduate students at UA.

 

dewpoint works to serve Sigma Tau Delta members at the University of Alabama, the English and Creative Writing departments at the University of Alabama, and the student body at large.

 

dewpoint accepts staff members and submissions from the entire UA student body. Staff meetings occur every Wednesday night at 5 PM in Morgan 301.

 

UAdewpoint@gmail.com is the email address for all submissions; in the body of your email, include your name, year, area of study, and any relevant information such as former publications or awards; attach your submitted work as a word document. While multiple submissions in multiple genres are encouraged, keep in mind that, since we strive to publish the widest selection of student work possible, dewpoint will only publish one piece per person per issue.
